CGF China Pre-Shipment & Final Random Inspection(FRI) for Medical & Surgical Masks
CGF provides Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), also known as Final Random Inspection (FRI) for medical masks and surgical masks. It is the most common inspection type to verify overall shipment quality. Normally, production should be finished and at least 80% of goods packed into export cartons before inspection. Main checkpoints for mask inspection:
• Verify mask specifications, standard requirements, printing marking and individual packaging rules.
• Inspect appearance defects, non-woven fabric, nose strip fitting and earloop welding quality.
• Test earloop tensile strength, edge sealing integrity and size consistency.
• Audit export carton protection, shipping marks and relevant regulatory labels.

Complete Inspection Items for Medical & Surgical Masks
Count finished masks against order quantity; Check surface stains, fabric holes, broken layers, poor ultrasonic sealing, loose edges. Inspect nose wire straightness, earloop welding breakage, uneven mask shape.
Measure mask overall size, nose strip length, earloop length; Compare construction details with approved sample; Confirm layers of non-woven and filter fabric meet your specification.
• Earloop tensile strength test to prevent easy breakage during use
• Edge sealing tightness inspection to avoid layer separation
• Size consistency random sampling
Check mask package printing: product name, batch number, production & expiry date, manufacturer information. Verify language instruction and market required compliance labels.
Check individual bag sealing condition; Verify suffocation warning on plastic packages; Inspect carton sturdiness, moisture resistance and correctness of outer shipping marks.
We follow international AQL sampling standards according to customer requirements. All defective items will be photographed, and a detailed English inspection report will be issued after on-site QC activity.
