CGF Per-shipment inspection for solar panel
CGF provides professional Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) service for solar panels / PV modules before shipment. Our inspectors implement random sampling inspection based on international AQL standards in factory warehouse after bulk production completion. We detect visible defects and verify electrical performance to reduce quality risks and customer complaints after container loading. Main checkpoints for solar panel pre-shipment inspection: • Verify model, dimension, color and cell layout against approved sample and datasheet.
• Inspect glass surface: scratch, crack, stain, bubble, foreign spot and dirt contamination.
• Check solar cells: micro crack, broken cell, discoloration, solder strip offset and abnormal grid line.
• Inspect frame: deformation, scratch, gap mismatch, rivet quality and waterproof sealing.
• Check junction box: tightness, wiring condition, diode function and connector compatibility.
• Conduct EL (Electroluminescence) test to detect invisible internal cell cracks.
• Test actual power output and verify parameter consistency with nameplate.
• Audit nameplate barcode, marking, protective film, carton packaging and shipping marks.

Complete Solar Panel Inspection Checklist
Check panel length, width, thickness and frame size. Confirm model type, power grade, cell type and color tone match your approved sample and technical datasheet.
Check tempered glass for scratches, chips, cracks, residual glue, stains, bubbles and foreign particles which affect light transmittance.
Inspect cells for micro-cracks, broken fragments, discoloration, hot spot risk, offset solder ribbons and uneven spacing between cells.
Check frame bending, deformation, surface scratches, oxidation marks, assembly gap, corner joint flatness and silicone sealing integrity.
Verify junction box adhesion, waterproof seal, internal wiring, diode working condition, cable length and connector matching.
Arrange EL test on sampled panels to discover invisible hidden cell cracks, broken grids and poor welding that cannot be seen by naked eyes.
Conduct power testing under standard test conditions, monitor Voc, Isc, Pmax to ensure actual output complies with rated nameplate parameters.
Check nameplate information, barcode, certification logos and warning labels. Inspect protective film, corner protection, outer carton strength and correct shipping marks.
After on-site inspection, you will receive a full inspection report including dimension records, defect photos, EL images and power test data for your evaluation.
