AQL sampling answers a statistical question: is this lot acceptable as a whole? Some orders need a different question answered — is this specific unit good? Zero-defect contracts, safety-critical parts, a batch that already failed once, a customer claim that cannot repeat: for those, CGF runs 100% inspection — every unit opened, checked and sorted at our Dongguan base, with the survivors documented individually rather than statistically.

When full inspection is the right call

  • After a failed sample — the lot failed AQL and shipping it as-is is not an option.
  • Contract terms demand it — zero-defect clauses or customer-mandated screening.
  • Safety or critical function — defects that statistics cannot be allowed to excuse.
  • A claim already happened — the replacement shipment cannot repeat the failure.
  • High unit value — one escape costs more than the entire screen.

What the check covers

Screening runs to your written defect sheet — the list of what counts as fail, agreed before the job starts. Inspectors work through it unit by unit: visual criteria against limit samples, dimensional checks with go/no-go gauges where the part allows, functional confirmation on powered products, labelling and barcode verification by scan. The electrical measurements your specification calls for are taken and recorded, not assumed. Where deeper laboratory work is needed, samples are escorted to accredited third-party labs with our inspector witnessing — consistent with how lab coordination works across our services.

Sorting, not just judging

Every unit leaves the line in one of three lanes: conforming, reworkable, or reject. Reworkable units flow to the correction benches and come back through the same screen; rejects are segregated, photographed and held for your decision. The closing report shows the defect Pareto — which failures dominated, in what proportion — so the conversation with your factory is about evidence, not impressions.

The honest maths of man-days

Full inspection is quoted in man-days because that is what it costs: the number of units, the minutes per unit your defect sheet requires, and the line layout. The assessment returns a man-day plan — daily throughput and a completion date — inside one working day. We would rather quote the real duration than win the job with a number the floor cannot hold — and if a statistical re-check after a first screen is the smarter spend, the assessment will say that too.

What the report leaves you with

Quantities in and out, yield by category, the defect breakdown with photos of representative failures, test readings where taken, and the final disposition — shipped, held, reworked, scrapped. Enough to release the order, argue the claim, or reset the supplier. The flow sits inside the wider value-added services the base offers, including storage and staged release after the screen.

Questions buyers ask

Is 100% inspection the same as AQL 0?

No — AQL 0 still samples. A full screen opens every unit, so nothing rests on the statistics of a draw.

Can you screen goods that failed at another company’s inspection?

Yes — their defect list is a fine starting point; we review it against the product, agree the written sheet with you, and run the screen from there.
